Club and Discounts
« on: November 27, 2002 - 08:28:57 AM »
I was recently looking for a fiberglass elastomeric bumper for my cuda so I made post and got my answer, but it was also brought up that maybe we should come together as a group or club. This way we could get discounts at various stores and maybe even one day start having car shows and events.

I read the other thread about this being a club if enough people are willing to join and regretably pay a small memership fee (so events and stickers can be possible). Being that 69RT is the owner of the site it's his call but from readign the other link it sounds like you agree.
Again if enough people are willing and intersted maybe it should go to the next level.

yeah thats fine with me.  i have a lot of ideas for the site and how we could all benefit from it, but im real backlogged right now with finals.  thats the reason i havent done the tshirts yet.  but we can look into it in a couple weeks when thats over.  im hoping to maybe redesign the front page to attract more members.  i dont want any membership dues or anything like that.  i personally dont want to profit off the members.  however if there is some way we can all benefit then im open to suggestions.

Count me in too!  I've always participated more in this group than my own car club here in Atlanta.

I know that most car clubs can get the discount, I started to join the North GA club at one time, but ended up in a local club :(

but yearone(for example) is willing to make a discount for most any club

my problem has been finding parts that you cant get out of stores (such as fenders)

TreeFrog, I didn't know you are in GA.  Where are you located?  We're in Marietta.  Are you planning on going to Carlisle?

Sorry...just read in your other post you're in SC.  If you're planning on going to Carlisle, we can probably meet up somewhere along the way if your interested.

At pro-touring.com they have Group Purchases where a bunch of members that all want the same part get together and get it discounted because there is a mass amount of people that buy at once. It is usually first gen camaro parts so I've never participated. They also have a Group Pruchase website that may accomodate e-bdoy Chrysler owners, it's called GPsuperstore.com. It would be good for re-pop items. Maybe Harms would do a group purchase of a certain item that everyone wants. Just a few thoughts.
Admin and Mods should go over to pro-touring.com and check out the group purchase thread for an idea of how it looks in action. I may buy some wheels from Budnik next time a Budnik GP comes up.
