Correct paint
« on: November 30, 2005 - 04:20:03 AM »
Does anybody know of a source for correct paint besides "Totally (expensive) Auto"?  I want the correct black satin for the grill and tail on my 71 Challenger.  I've bought  paint from TA but it was awfully expensive and I can't believe a correct black paint isn't available at like Auto Zone or something like that.  I hope this isn't a stupid question but once it's on, if it ain't right then I have a mess on my hands.

Hello,
I would try restorick.com he has some good products! Or you could go to kmart and buy some spray paint like i did! Get the paint for the cooking grilles! It works great drys up hard and it has the correct finish. Look at my car that whats on there for a stripe, hood treatment and the tail panel. Nobody can tell. I have had people come up and ask if it was a decal. I cant afford to buy anything with my problems. LOL well good luck!
