House paint? Ouch! The disrespect that these cars got back in the 70's and 80's was amazing. Well, maybe the house paint has preserved the tag better than a lot of them that rust. It is fun to read and decode what the car was born with.

Welcome to the site, warmpancakes.  What part of Michigan are you from?  A couple other members are from lower Michigan and I'm from northern WI, so the UP is very close to my house.  It sounds like you have a great car to start, so best of luck with the restoration and keep us updated with your progress on it.

Welcome to the board and goodluck with your project! you have found  the best mopar site on the web!!
if you can't read the fender tag from the front have you tried taking it off and reading it from the backside? sometimes they are easier read from the backside then they are from the frontside!  and just a thought about switching dashes! the one in your car now is green right? is the one with the air vents green? are you going to keep the car sublime green? if so I would keep the green dash! and not worry about the air you can always roll the windows down if it gets hot! lol I think green dashes are hard to find and rare so I would keep it if it were my car. Kind of makes me think the car was ordered without air!! decode the fender tag and then make your decision!! these cars came with all kind of weird options! just my .02

Mmmmmmm....pancakes.......Welcome to the site!

Can't wait to see the pics!  Restored cars are cool to look at but I love to see the ones pre-restoration as there is so much potential in a restoreable car!  Have fun with it!

Welcome warmpancakes...i've got one of the U-code RT/SEs without AC from the factory. It's in the 'before' state and having been in Detroit from new until 94, has it's expected rust issues. That's the car in my avatar. Looking forward to the pics!!
