New 71 Ragtop Challenger Project
« on: November 14, 2005 - 11:42:41 AM »
Well, I went ahead and did it again.  Picked up another Challenger convertible a few weeks ago.  Haven't had a chance to post pics of it yet so here it goes.

Plans for the car include 440, Six Pack, New T/A hood, T/A Exhaust & Graphics.  Probably going to paint is GY3 Citron Yella because even though it's originally a 318 Plum Crazy car.  Many of you know,  I just built a Plum Car and am kind of tired of  Plum Crazy.  Plus, I think the T/A look in Yellow is pretty cool.  Also going to put 4 wheel disc brakes on it, a/c, and 17" wheels

Nice, you sure love doing them!! Good to see because with guys like you picking up projects left right and center these cars stand a even greater chance of survival. Maybe you should take your trailer(s) and some cash to a cars in barns place. lol

Cheers!!

Very cool!!!  That looks like it'll be a great project, especially for a convertible.  Keep us posted with the progress as the restoration progresses.

How long do you think it will take to complete Gary? Have you thought about doing the car Triple Black? Or black with white int?

Probably take me a few months to complete.  Living in south Florida, Triple Black is not a combo I personally would choose.  Black with a white interior does sound interesting though...

Boy the car looks likes a great project. Glad you can restore them in such a short time frame. Looks like you have the hole restoration pretty well mapped out so you have a direction to take. I also think the T/A's in Yellow look great. Keep us posted with pictures on your progress so we can all dream we were doing the restoration.
