1971 340 Cuda for trade
« on: December 07, 2005 - 03:32:23 PM »
Hi - I think most know my car. It's not for sale, but would be willing to TRADE. I've always wanted a 71 vert..obvoiusly only chance for a clone. I would be willing to trade for a convertible cuda clone or "BA" barracuda vert. Preferably a smallblock. If there's any interest, pls respond on this thread or email me.

It's an original 1971 formal black (TX9), shaker (N96) 340 / 727 Cuda. However, it does not have the original 340 block. the car was raced by Ed Hamburger in the 70's. Ed';s team raced a white duster, a white 340 shaker chally and a black shaker 340 cuda. It has a fender tag and 2 buildsheets. It's not a high option car, but was optioned w/ performance package (3:91 sure grip) power steering, steel road wheels and spoiler package. The car has no rust and the sheetmetal is all original. The paint is cheap and approx 17 years old. there is 17k actual miles on the car.

The swap would be for a good vert clone for a real black shaker cuda. That's my offer a real shaker cuda for a nice vert clone. I love the car & will NOT be disappointed if a trade does not materialize. A Cuda vert is the only thing I'd opt for. I'm looking to get the car painted.. and before I go any further, thought I'd test the waters for interest. I guess this is a case of purist vs enthusiast. To a purist.. this is a rare opt at an org black 71 shaker cuda.. couldn't guess as to the production on this #. On the other end.. I don't mind clones and reg barracudas.. as long as my wife & I can drop the top.

I have a 71 six cylinder convertible but mine is al apart and needs restored.  I would imagine you are looking for something that is turnkey.

Yes - I wasn't looking for a 71 vert project. At least not for a straight up trade. I haven't seen many org sheetmetal cars in better condition than mine. Thanks though.
