Cowl Hood Paint?
« on: November 24, 2005 - 05:46:54 PM »

I left my Challenger's cowl area body color on purpose because I thought the black there looked wierd.
I was thinking about maybe going the correct way by painting it black, but when going through my photo folder most (95%) of the white cars have them body color and it made me think.......so now I will probably leave it. If it bothers me while driving I will change.

Is the whole purpose of it being black because it hides that gap area better from inside the car?
Also, if I decided to change it what finish is the paint, I know it's not gloss so I guess either satin or matt black?

Here are some of the white engine bay photos I have found who have their's like mine.

Cheers,

Awesome, thanks Barry. I'll definitely be leaving it white. Only reason I will change is if the white is annoying from the drivers view, can't see that it will be so I doubt I will paint it black. Looks much better body color..... :-)

Thanks,
Carl
