Would you buy this truck just for the wheels?
« on: November 24, 2005 - 08:22:42 AM »
My brother bought this truck last week. I've known about it for a while and turned him onto it. It's a 1971 D100 camper special. Very clean truck with original ralleys and 71 trim rings. Even the lugnuts are all original. They're 1970 date coded 15x7's. EVERYTHING is in incredible condition. Original owner had the wheels installed from day 1. The spare and all of the other 4 tires have the same exact date code.

That would depend upon the price of the truck.

if you paid $2500 for the truck you could proubly get replacement rims (for the truck) for less than $300.

The cool part is. you know have five matching rims for your Mopar!

I say go for it if the price is right (insert Bob Barker picture)

Oh yeah. He paid $1000 for the running driving truck. Powertrain is a 318 4 bbl, 727, 8 3/4 with 3.23 suregrip. All of the lugnuts, center caps, rims, and trim rings are in excellent shape. The trim rings still have the part number stickers on the backside. I think it was well worth it, because the truck itself is very clean. Jim
