Was reading the post on opinions on if dated coded motors are important if original motor is gone. I didn't want to hijack that post. Attached is a picture of a Cuda I have owned for about a year. I got it with a non numbers 71 motor and a 70 auto tranny. The car has a perfect buildsheet to document all the options, as well as the 2 original fendertags. It is coded for Shaker, rallye cluster, roadlamps, billboards, leather, console cassette, roadlamps, fast ratio T/A steering, light group etc... I have the car torn apart now redoing it. Here is the twist. About 4 weeks ago I got the numbers motor for the car. Long story, but it was under the workbench of the previous owner since 1985. So what happens to the value of this car with numbers motor vs not. Doubt tranny will ever be found. I know this is a loaded question and tough to answer. A couple buddies put a higher number on the value due to numbers motor than I was thinking. Anyone want to throw a dart?
