OK-  this is going to turn into a Computer GeekFest if I'm not careful.   :thinkerg:
If your head starts to pound whenever you read about computer settings, Click this "Get out of this thread in a hurry!" link.

Otherwise, read on... like a Blog, I'm just gonna post where I am on this.

First of all this is only for those having trouble launching the Chat Room -  (assuming you already have Microsoft Java or Sun Java enabled. Click here to check.) and for those who try to launch it and nothing happens.
You are probably using Norton Internet Security

Well, in the Anti-Spam section....

There are sections that are probably checked- called "Turn on Ad Blocking" and Turn on PopUp Window Blocking"
And if Norton is Blocking, there is a section on "Ad Blocking"  and Norton has a huge list of things they decided is bad for you..  its in the Advanced Section.
I was a little surprised at how long this list is... and how arbitrary some of the patterns it looks for are!

So now,  we just have to discover what code pattern is tripping Norton to disable the Chat Room Applet.

Until then Oldschool has discovered he can "disable" Norton for a few minutes, and that allows him to cruise right into the Chat Room.  Norton automatically comes back on in a few minutes, but by that time the Chat Room is already loaded so you will be fine.

Wouldn't you know it I finally got in and then I was kicked out, because it says that someone using the same server has been banned. :faint: :stomp:  :hyper:.

Thats unfortuante DY3Cuda-  I'll see if I can find out more about that.  If you do get in you need to register your name by double clicking it and then no one can take it

Thanks Red, I'm going to have to reinstall EWC. I was so upset I just removed it from my computer.
