Wanting to know what trans i have??? all I have is casting #'s I think that it's a 727, just not sure if its big block or s,all block?? here are the #'s can anyone help?? CH42K9C157458 these #'s may not make a difference?? how do I tell the BB housing from the SM housing??

is there a bolt hole at the top of the bel?
Small blocks have a hole at the top big blocks do not , just a hole at 10:30 & 1:30
