I pulled a 440 and 727 out of a 1977 motorhome to put in my 1970 Challenger. The 727 is the type that has the yoke held captive, and a universal joint bolts to it. Is it possible to change the tailshaft to the correct slip yoke, and does anyone sell the conversion? Is it cheaper to buy a new tranny from TCI? Is there any market for these transmissions? For now I will be installing the 440 pretty much stock, can I use the torque converter originally used with the motorhome, or will the stall speed be too high? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
