It's a '63 Polara.  Mopar Collectors guide has an article on it this month.  Heres a pic, but for some reason my scanner changed the red interior (and writing on the hood scoop) to green.

Nice pic. I never did find out why it was a "make a wish" foundation project. "Make A Wish" is a charity that does something special for people on their last days on Earth.

It was for Boyd Coddingtons charitable foundation.  Here is a article about the project from his web site.http://www.thecoddingtonfoundation.com/Pages/Max_Hemi.html

From what I understand, the profits from selling this car will go to Make A Wish foundation.

it was for the boy in the picture, he has cancer.....not sure what his wish was?my guess ...was to build a car with boyd/build a 63 like that? not sure why there selling it...as much money as they got i would have let him keep the car/give to family if they wanted it. maybe put some kind of clause can't sell or mod/part out, it only return it..

Yeah, I saw that car in that issue also. Now as far as Boyd goes, he needs a Wardrobe makeover. Anyone who wears Hawaiin shirts everyday is  :screwy:

If you (or anyone) lives or were from Hawaii originally, then I would understand. But he's a mainlander. I'd say he's a wanna be from Hawaii.
