New pics for Christmas (update) !! (no 56k)
« on: December 25, 2005 - 03:56:08 PM »
I know everyone likes pics so here is a small present from me to all of you. Got it on stands and the k member out and found some more suprises. It truley is chrismas I Got some gift too.
Let's see, a bent torsion bar, a whole cut in the frame to get access to a nut they had to use on the bolt for the k member, a horrible attempt at a weld in replacement panel, a failed attempt at a fix of the same panel, broken steering mount and a partridge in a pear tree.  LOL, that the fun of taking on these kinds of projects RIGHT,RIGHT.. Its funny every time I go out into the shop I swear i can hear it begging me to put it back to gether right and give it the respect Mopar meant it to have or it could be that I havnt taken my medication today... Merry Christmas to all!!!

Looks to me like something I would love to get my hands on as I love to see the end result of fixing what someone else messed up. Keep us posted with pictures of how things are going and just ask if your looking for any advise.

:iagree: Now i know what George Harrison was singing about in "Got My Mind Set On You"

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you

But it's gonna take money
A whole lotta spending money
It's gonne take plenty of money
To do it right child

It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, ummm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right child

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you

And this time I know it's for real
The feelings that I feel
I know if I put my mind to it
I know that I really can do it

I got my mind set on you
Set on you
I got my mind set on you
Set on you

But it's gonna take money
A whole lotta spending money
It's gonna take plenty of money
To do it right child

It's gonna take time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, ummm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right

I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you
I got my mind set on you

And this time I know it's for real
The feelings that I feel
I know if I put my mind to it

To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right

Set on you
Set on you

Wow - looks like they did a really sloppy job of installing the LH inner fenderwell. Whats up with the outboard section of your top cowl? It would appear to be drilled loose and never re-attached? The cowling area can be a scary area and full of surprises. Look it over closely inside and out. I found out the hard way on mine.  :eek4:

Stay positive like everyone has already mentioned.  I read some of your previous posts.  Do you still have the '74 parts car?  (I have a '72 Rallye too.)

I'm sure you'll do a great job!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am not disappointed with what I have recently found. I would say more amussed then anything. This is one project that i will not lose intrest in. I can already see the finished project when ever I look at it. Plus all of the help and encouragement i get from all of you.

Mike: The previous owner didnt like the way it was repaired and had some one drill out the spot welds and seperate the seam even though he had no way of fixing it.

SuperBlue: I Have given the 74 to my father inlaw. He used his Semi and trailer plus a couple hundred dollars in fuel to get the cars home. Plus he is always there when I need him and he was very interested in it. It is a complete car with the original drice tain in it (318).

Again thanks for the kind words and help. I will be needing all of you in the near future.
