Maybe Rewiring My Whole Car Need Input
« on: January 10, 2006 - 05:40:27 AM »
Hey folks I'm just wondering what harnesses I should use for rewiring my whole car. I figure while I've got it apart to paint it I might as well upgrade the electricals. I was wondering harnesses should I use? I really like the Painless wiring kit but, I don't know. Do they have everything I need? Looks like it is broken up with their universial kit. Anyone have any feedback? Thank you.

I just received a e-mail from painless Joe, they have been working on a mopar only wiring harness and it will be released in Feb. the part number will be 10127, you can go to there site and download the manual to see if it is what you want. My challenger when I bought it was just a rolling shell with the harness laying on the floor, it is in pretty bad shape so I decited to go with the painless harness. Hopefuly I'll be ready to install this in late summer, early fall.

We used Year Ones kits and they were probably the best product we purchased from them.
Fantastic harness kits. The only thing is you have to order them separately as they don't have a kit.

Still, it is definitely worth your time. They sell every harness except the power window one.
Luckily that was our best piece so we restored it which was easily done by checking and re-wrapping.

Dude - ck out my post under 'painless proposition" Eric at Painless was looking for an Ebody test car. There would be a free full body harness in it for you. I passed on the deal and am not sure anyone here contacted them. Ck it out

Good luck

Thanks everyone. I can't have my car down for a long period of time. Year One is expensive but, with the Painless I feel it is better quality perhaps. Anyways, maybe their Mopar kit will work. I don't need all the power stuff since I all I need is my engine, reverse lights, braker, parking and side marker lights, headlights, my CD Player and dash.
