Good Car Day
« on: January 09, 2006 - 12:59:52 PM »
gotta love southern california.  yesterday, during the coldest part of winter, it was 77 degrees.  so i figured it was a good day to head out to the beach for lunch and take a little drive up the coast.  while we were out we saw 3 ferraris (360 spyder, 355, and an old dino), 3 different vipers, a new z06, a sweet looking old fastback mustang, and to top it all off, a 1970 chally followed us home.  havent seen a chally on the road in a long long time (save for car shows).  gotta get me one of these someday.  such a pretty car.  not that you guys dont know what a 70 chally looks like  but i had to take a couple shots.  came out better then i thought for pics out a back window.

Great shots!  Looks like "Kowalski" was behind you.  Maybe NZ snuck into the USA and is stalking you!   :roflsmiley:  Did you get an opportunity to speak with the Chally driver?   :cooldancing:  ..............Oldschool

It's getting to the point these days that I rarely spot neat old musclecars just driving around anymore. When I do spot one (even a brand Xer), I have to do a triple-take! :eek7:
A couple weeks ago during my commute home, I spotted a fairly clean '69 Mach-1 up ahead. I followed him for maybe 8 miles on the freeway, it was just neat to see it out driving with everyone else.

Looks like a fine day!!  I love to see them on the roads.  That's my second favorite part of Carlisle (of course right next to spending time with you fine folks!).  You drive around Carlisle and see superbirds in restaurant parking lots like it's no big deal.  The first year there, poor Redline had to pull over way too many times for me to go take a look.  Like a kid in a candy store!
