Hi All,
My 71 Cuda was restored by somebody a few years back and some things were done correctly. I recently tried to lower the front end a bit and it seems like the adjusting bolts are almost all the way out but the front end is still riding higher than the back end. The rear springs are new mopar perf. HP springs.
Is it possible that somebody installed the torsion bars incorrectly?

Can you share any pictures? The rear is usually the trouble. Too low usually.

The red Cuda is my brother's and he has the torsion bars cranked down a bit. My '71 still sits higher and won't go any lower. I'm just wondering if when they installed the torsion bars they put in the wrong position.

make sure the left bar has an odd part # & the right one is even they may have been swapped Lto R , other than that the bar can be installed in any of the 6 positons with no difference

I'll take a look at the numbers. Its strange that the front end won't drop more. When I get under there I'm going to drop the adjuster all the way down and see what's happening in there. Thanks

Has anything been done to the car to reduce weight on the front end?
Aluminum parts, original big block/ now a small block? Just wondering out loud here.

#s are on the back end of the bar & it will have the last 3 # of the part # only

I agree, had that problem when I installed my SS springs.

I cranked the bolts in the control arms out about 5-6 full turns and the front did come down finally.

you can back the bolts virtually all the way out as long as the ball end of the bolt still sits in the cup on the lever
