Cuda or Barracuda...1970 difference ?

Howdy....Is the barracuda a 318 model and the cuda's the hi performance models ? Or could you have a Barracuda with a 383 big block and not called a Cuda ?

I know a cuda is usually a BS vin start.  S mean special or premium...

BH I think otherwise.

That is about all I know someone else with chime in to fill you in fully.

Bcuda was available with up to a 383 4 bbl engine , BH serial #
Cuda was available with 383 Magnum/ Super Commando & larger so if you ordered a 440 it had to be a Cuda , BS serial #

BP was the Barracuda Gran Coupe, it was also available with the 383 - four barrel.
