April,

Yes it is a NY Plate but it is not my car. Someone posted it as a reference for my original color Winchester Gunmetal. My car has a long way to get to that stage but I am shooting for Carlisle.  You will know me by my license plate....lol

Thanks for all the pics!  I went to the auto paint store, their chart was 30+ years old and faded.  I bought a couple quarts, Med blue and medium gun metal...both OK but not exactly what I would like.  I looked in my resto book and saw the Winchester grey...I think that's it.  I saw the post above and like the look.

Any seconds on Winchester grey for my 71 cuda?

Dude, you gotta go with wincherster grey!!! Its so damn rare an soooo cool! Mine is original GA4 also but some dope painted it curious yellow during the resto instead!  I want to repaint it but the price to disassemble and repaint is too much for me right now.

p.s. resize please...

cudaah,

Although my first preference would be to repaint mine viper yellow, my car was an original GA4 Winchester Gunmetal and that is what it is going to be again. It is a beautiful and rare color. after seeing everyones pictures it has grown on me a lot.

Ya know it's tough making that final descision for a color when your doing a resto for yourself.  I think I'm going to pick up a quart of the winchester and give it a test.  Although yellow and green look great, they seem to be the popular colors for restoration, and I want mine to be a little different.  I'm hoping the Hemi rumble will be the stand out point of my car.

Thanks again for all the opinions.

PS  got the call from the media blaster today the car's ready to go.   Excited, but nervous about seeing it.  Here we go w/ body and paint :money: :22yikes:
