My camera's color seemed off when it got dark for some reason. That black Cuda with the white billboards was actually Plum Crazy. It and the B5 convertible next to it were brought out by a dealer from back east I believe. Many dealers around and there was a lot of MONEY walking around as well. I spoke with guys from New York, Chicago, etc. who were there looking to buy. Many people had 4 sale signs in there cars and quite a few sales were made. The DJ kept asking people to return to their cars becuase they had an interested party waiting.

On a different note, there were some other notables there... a convertible GTO judge with the factory Ram Air IV, a 62 Corvette Sebring Race car with documented race history, a couple of former early 60's Ford Nascars with the lightened bodies, a couple of REAL Yenko deuce Novas, and Yenko Camaros, a weird looking VW bug that some guy shortened by almost 4 feet (he had to climb out through the sunroof..lol), a 52 or so dodge with a Hemi and upturned headers that shot flames and on occassions...POPCORN about 6 feet into the air.

Awesome. I thought about coming out there, but decided to wait and go to Mopars at the Strip in March.

Guess I'll have to settle for that as well.

Looks like an awesome place to go even if you don't go to the auctions.

They have that carshow there every Saturday.  No entry fees to show, or gawk.   What you see in the pictures is not much different than what it is every weekend.   Seriously.

Very true. It is like that every weekend. I have been there several times. This Sunday is expected to be extra busy. I tried to show up early for a parking space (2:30 pm) and I couldn't find one. It's amazing how many people come out for this great gathering. The earlier pictures in the day (sunny) were taken at a carshow held at a church in Tempe (also Phoenix area). It was a great show with free entrance, free door prizes, free entertainment, and free lunch to all carshow participants! Did I mention it was free? Pinks was in town filming 9 races, I never even made it to the drag strip. What a weekend. Barret was awesome, I touched and even sat in some of the cars you are watching sell for all of that $$$.  :jumping:
