If I have the switches and motors how hard is it go go PW??
« on: February 02, 2006 - 01:52:57 PM »
I would think a man could cut out the places in the doors to make them PW door panels.   At least I think so.   Then of course you have to wire the motors.  But do you need any other brackets or anything to attach motor assemblies to the window channels?    Is this a reasonably doable project?

Secondly, it does not show up on the fender tag whether the car was a Power windows car does it??

You also need the regulators.

gomango,

I believe Mike Tyler can fill you in on all that is involved with this conversion. I seem to remember it was quite an interesting adventure for him.

yes, been there and and almost finished with that. However, I used the aftermarket regulators that bolted right in to my manual door. I cannot speak to any differences in a manual door and an OEM power window door. I am using OEM switches so they will have the OEM "look".
