E body splash shields.
« on: January 25, 2006 - 02:51:27 PM »
I know I am missing one or more splash shields on my car.   I have seen them on another car.   One I think is on the drivers side and I think I am missing one or two more.   I am thinking one attaches to the frame.   Would someone be kind enough to post pics of these splash shield so I can see what I am missing.    There is also a starter shield/splash shield also.    I know I am missing the shields that attach to the inner firewall.   They can easily be purchased but I feel like I am missing larger ones.   Alot of these cars no longer have them on there cause they dont get replaced, or fall off or some people just plain dont care about having them on.    I would appreciate any postings of pics.     Thanks

I'm in the dark about this.  :banghead: I thought there was just one on each side. The driver's side did cover up the starter, I would have to look at my car to see where the passenger's shield goes. Sorry I don't have any pics handy.

I think you are referring to the L-shaped plastic pieces, one on each side in front of the K-member. YearOne http://www.yearone.com/ has them and they are sold in pairs. Part No. G87

There are also inner-fender splash shields behind the upper control arms.  Part No. MI1104.

Hope that helps.

there are 3 sheilds that attach to the bottom  of the frame rail2 farward inside thew castor strut shown above , & 1 further back to sheild the starter  on the left frame rail , then the two under the fenders to cover the gap into the front of the doors

Maybe it a difference in the year or engine size.  My 73 only has two of each. :dunno:
