73 challenger V7 accent stripe
« on: January 10, 2003 - 09:31:33 AM »
I am seeking information on what a V7 code painted accent stripe is supposed to look like. This must be a rare code. I have not been able to find a picture anywhere, not even anybody that knows. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks. ???

Hold the Bus Boys and Girls ... the V7W code  is a:  Longitudinal Painted Accent Stripe .

V7W is a pair of "PAINTED" pinstripes ( about 1/8" wide ) that go just below the belt line from the headlights to the back of the rear side windows .

These are rarely seen today because when these cars were repainted no one bothered to have them replaced .

My brother has an original paint 1973 Rallye Challenger 340 . It's a : GK6 Bronze Metallic with a : V4W White Halo Vinyl Roof , a White interior and the V7W white longitudinal PAINTED pinstripes .

The next time I get up to my brothers shop I'll take a few pictures and post them .

Chrysler had so many obscure options it makes you wonder how they could make any money at all !
