Thanks for that Deputy! I finally figured it out. The overhead console lights require there own door switches on the rear post but the door switches on the fwd door post tie the light circuit into the time delay relay. My drivers door switch has been disconnected for some time because of the key-in buzzer. Somehow, it didn't cross my mind that the fwd switch was part of the circuit until last night. Once I connected up my drivers door switch, Voila! G2G!
The low fuel light comes on with the key so I guess its time to put my pimped out guages in this weekend and confirm it works as well.
If anyone should be interested in doing this it really isn't that bad. All you need to attach an o/h console in a fabric headliner car is a second dome light support from a donor car. Once I set the fwd/aft position of this member I was surprised to find the up/down position already set and was perfect. You have to drill two holes in the fwd attach section for the spring clips on the console and the console snaps right into place. It nests nicely against the fabric headliner and looks like it belongs there. I dont think it could have been easier but there was a lot of worrying along the way.
