    H beam rods and pistons

    Looking for a good new/used set of 440 standard stroke and length h beam rods. I am also looking for a good used/new set of .030 over pistons around 11-12:1. :dunno: :1zhelp:

    I have a set of original rods (standard length and mains). A set of .030 over Venolia pistons is hanging on the small end, too. Here is a couple pix. I have never had the rods magnafluxed, but they were in my Cuda right up to the time of my last engine build when I went with aluminum Manley rods and Ross pistons to gain more stroke. They aren't H beams, but they are nice.

    I bought a set of Eagle H-beams at the show in Indy this weekend. I am now looking for pistons. Do you have any more info on the pistons?

    They are Venolia pistons and I have the part numbers at my shop. I will look it up for you tonight and shoot you a PM. They are really in great shape - very little scuffing on the skirts and a good coating of carbon on the tops (you can tell they never saw detonation).

    Sure. I will just post it here. I went to the Venolia web site and looked up my part number. It is shelf-stock 0.030-over forged aluminum piston. Here the specs from their product page:

    I hope that transmitted without getting all jammed up without a corresponding heading.

    The tops of the pistons have a good coating of carbon - but not too much either. Shows no signs of detonation. They are in really good shape with normal scuffing on the skirts. I will remove the con rods before shipping.

    I hope this gives you the info you need. I think they should be worth $200 for the set of eight. Let me know what you think.

    No shaker hood you mean.. :clapping: It is a flat hood with a shaker bubble. I needed hood clearence for my intake and didnt want to run a big scoop. This looks kinda factory unless you are a Mopar guy and works great.
