 Hee-hee,
In a sense, yes!!! If it's mechanical, or electrical, they pretty much are alike. The body work... maybe not.  :dunno:

Thanks for your help, the problem he is having is that the temperature and oil guages are not working. All fuses have been checked and all fusable links have also been checked! They are all good!! The temperature sending unit has been replaced, oil pressure sensor sending unit has been replaced, and guages still don't work! He doesn't know where to go from here!  :dunno: any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks  Do you have any idea how to check to see if the guages are still good without removing them from the dash?

Has he pulled the cluster & verified the printed circuit is not damaged?  Power to the printed circuit and over to the guages? On the 69 Bird there is a ground located behind the dash between the cluster & radio off the harness, 3 wires on 1 terminal sometimes over looked...

High Performance Pontiac Magazine is a good source for old Pontiacs. Here's a pic of my 78 Trans am.
