Yes, Galen's Tags Service does them but you have to go through a fair amount of work and spend a lot of time waiting to get it and once you do, you will notice just how different the font is.  I sent side by side pictures to the company that does them and they told me to get a refund from Galen but I never did.

There is another company out there doing it called ECS (www.ecsautomotive.com) who supposedly uses the right font and everything else and has to be quicker and I would use them next time even if Galen doesn't endorse them.  Basically, when I talked with him, I understand his concern in that going through him, it's documented and signed off on whereas with ECS, they supposedly will make the tag with little or no documentation.  However, if you know you have the right thing and you want the most accurate reproduction then I'd go with ECS and I'm not sure why Galen doesn't too or the other company doesn't make them better for him.

Yeah, they sure do, that's where Galen has his done.  Hope you like yours better than I did mine.

Here, you can see the differences yourself with the other and they really could have done better.

It looks like I'll be going through ECS when the time comes for that sticker.  Thanks for the comparison photos, 70Cuda.

Is that sticker the same for the 72-74 models? They don't have these listed on their site.

To bring this topic up again...

Does anybody know if a California car had a different data decal? I've just had a repro tag made from ECS (which looks like NZ440R/T's, but (whats left of) the existing tag has the VIN number, a logo, and some lettering which includes 'State of California'.

Does anybody else have a California-specific tag, and can these be reproduced? This is what my existing tag looks like - please excuse the picture quality; it's pitch black outside!

Rich,
That is a state assigned VIN tag, they are usually required if a car has been stolen or "totaled" and repaired.

Interesting. The car's been out of the USA for 15-20 years now as far as I know, so I guess there's no way of finding out why this tag was applied?
