heated challenger seats???

 :wavingflag:My buddy has a 70 challenger.He neaded a seat track and picked up a whole set.When he turned it over to take the track off,he found  wire and plug attached to a stripof metalthat is about 1/2 inch wide and 10 inches long going down the middle of springs.What is that and does anybody know the years for interchanging the tracks???Thanks DOUG

Doug,

  We recently had another post here about heated seats. NO, they definitely weren't around back then. I guess someone got creative there. As for the seat tracks... I believe all 70-74's will interchange, but the seats are definitely different.

The strip is a pressure switch to see if anyone is in the seat. Im not 100% sure but I think that the tracks on 73/74 are different from the other years.
