440 Motor
« on: February 19, 2006 - 03:38:33 PM »
I'm posting here before the posting hits Moparts and then goes to the Daytona spring car show.

'73 block with '68 906 heads. Was built in the early '90's, had about 5K miles put on it and yanked. Was a strong running motor in my friend's C body. Motor ran strong when he pulled it during restoration. He picked up a correct 383 for the car. Motor has been sitting the garage since then. Motor is a long block, but doesn't have lifters, intake, or distributor. Pics and more specs coming soon. Motor is in central Florida.

Not sure about the value of rebuilt big-blocks. Probably in the $1K range. I'll get more details about the rebuild and what exactly was done. Stick in your cam and lifters, bolt on accessories, and you're good to go.

If you think I'm smoking dope, let me know what a fair value for the motor would be. This is my friend's motor, so it's not my money!   :roflsmiley:
