Attaching Gilled rockers?
« on: February 23, 2006 - 07:23:43 PM »
I was thinking of going with the gilled rockers.  I know they didn't come on 72's but how do they attach?  Mine came with the thin rocker mouldings, would they attach the same way?

The '70 gilled rockers are actually screwed on from the outside so you would have to drill holes and put a nice (stainless probably would be better - that's what I used anyway) screw in.  Believe it or not, there are 9 screws on each side - front, back and then about every foot in between.

Cool thanks,  I'm not 100% decided on using them yet, but that sounds pretty easy, and since I'm going back original black, I think they would look good!

They are an option I get a lot of good comments and questions on like those are original, etc.
