You can wire wheel it with a 7" grinder but it makes a hell of a mess!  You can also use heat and a scraper and chisel.  I wouldn't breath the vapors though.    If the bondo is thick enough you might get lucky if you hit it from the back side with a hammer.  If you are going to get it sandblasted they can take care of it pretty quick.

if the quarter isnt in to bad of shape what I did was took a regular propane torch you heat where the bondo is for a few seconds then you wirebrush or scrape it off with a puddy knife then re-heat and keep doing it, doesnt take long, it works really well.

Couldn't you just sand blast the area?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

i got quite abit of it off tonight where it was already cracked... i have'nt decided if i'm goin to pay to media blast the entire engine bay and body or just strip it with chemicals...whats a good stripper to use???

it'll be awhile i've still got to strip/paint/undercoat the undercarriage, drop the motor & tranny in bolt finish rewraping/repairing my harness. i'll get everything running and how i like it and then i'll be cataloging and completely stripping the car to bare metal and delivering it to the bodyshop can't really do bodywork at the new house and while its gone i get to restore parts  :drunk:

If you need a good stripper buy marhyde Tal-Strip, that will eat ANYTHING.  Everything except the metal!  Its water soluable as well (i think i spelled that right?)  You can buy it in spray cans for about 5-6 bucks a can.  Its a little pricey but you dont mess around with weak stuff.  Be sure to have a hose nearby because it will eat EVERYTHING and ANYONE that it gets on   Works the best out of any product ive ever used before!

I bought this stuff in the 1 gallon gel container. I think it's active ingredient is methyl chloride. Nasty stuff.

I'm in the same boat as you. It'll take 3 partial sections of original one's or one whole perfect one to replace mine.
