I just heard that on the news tonite.  He was great.  I got a DVD of old Mopar commercials and he was on a couple of them with trucks and vans.  I couldn't believe he was 81!

Nobody will forget Barney 5 in the Andy Griffth show.  I grew up watching his movies like "The Reluctant Astronaut" and "the Ghost and Mr Chicken".

Yeah, me too. Saw him in all those movies when I was growing up, too. Remember " The Incredible Mr. Limpet" ? Another icon of acting history gone. :(

I grew up watching him also, Heck I still watch the Andy Griffith show sometimes. He sure did help make that show a success. Also three's company.

Man this one is a shocker.
From the incredible Mr. Limpit, Barney and the many other folks he brought to life he filled us with laughter.
He always reminded me even when I bumbled it  would be OK.
Thanks Barn  :(

A true American icon has left us.    :angelwings:  He brought many characters to life for the rest of us to enjoy.  I still plan on visiting him in Mayberry sometimes when I need a good laugh.  Thanks Barn...........    :ylsuper:   ..Oldschool

Very sad indeed... Another TV icon Dennis Weaver has also passed away.  Who could forget the movie Duel ?? And of course Gunsmoke and McCloud.

A couple of real american heros both :wavingflag:
