over center spring installation ??????
« on: April 19, 2006 - 07:33:37 PM »
okay guys & gals it's time for me to " look the fool again ".... any way how the #@#@#@#  dd you get the  clutch
pedal over center spring  onto the clutch  pedal arm stud.  despite the limited space i got it on once by using a tire iron
as a king sized  brake spring tool however due to the force required i bent the spring.  so tell me what's the secret ????

No secret. We all just use whatever we can to get it on like you did. With the pedal on the floor, it isn't that far to hook it on. How the hell did you bend that spring?

with the pdeals removed from the car the pedal will swing far enough to allow the spring on with no pressure at all thebn just swing the pedal down & it loads the pressure
