GoodMark Challenger rear valance installed
« on: April 02, 2006 - 05:36:40 PM »
I finally finished my conversion to the dual exhaust rear valance.  All things considered, I’d say I’m 80% (B minus) pleased.  The Goodmark valance didn’t fit as well as I would have liked.

Total cost - $575

Goodmark valance – Summit - $215
SS tips – Accurate exhaust - $200
2 rattle cans sublime green - $40
Labor to adapt exhaust pipes and weld - $120

It looks like it turned out looking a whole lot better than with out the valance cutouts and tips. A great improvement indeed.

Getting those things to fit flush takes a LOT of work. Go to a show and look at the fit....only 1 in 10 or so cars have a nice, flush valance. You did good on the fit considering you did cut and weld anything!

PS  Where are you at in Florida? I'm in Orlando.

Thx for the replies,  overall it is a definite improvement for the car.  When I do these things  I end up over analyzing the details.

I'm in Melbourne, any chance you were at the Mopar Car show at Wickam park a couple months back?

Yes, I was there....briefly. No car, just me. I probably have a pic of your car.

Cool.

That turned out looking really nice, Katfish! :grinyes:  I still fear getting my valance panels to fit up properly, but chances are I'll hold out for a nice pair of originals. (which will probably take forever to find.)
