Educate me on Challenger Seats

[1970RTSE]

OK, so after purchasing a third pair of seats, I am not sure if I have the right ones.  What do I need to look for in a seat frame, tracks and back for a 1970 R/T SE?  How do the other years differ?  All of my stuff is in storage so I don't have pics of what I have.

You can use 71 frames, but the release button is not the same as a 70. If you want it to be 100% correct, then your only choice is to find a set of 1970 seats. I made a thread about the differences because I was in a similar problem

Anyone know the interchange of 1970 B body seats in a E body? I think the foam is different but, will the frames and track work?

the frames wil work , the bases are different

Are the bases you mentioned the part that bolts through the floor? I have a set of complete '72 Challenger seats and a set out of a '70 Charger.

I would like to go with the '70 salt and pepper style covers. Can I buy new foam and covers for the '70 seat frames and then use the bases off of the '72 seats? Also are the '70 B body seat backs different the '70 E body?
