727 transmission
« on: November 24, 2002 - 03:56:55 PM »
I just had my transmission serviced - nothing major but a little band tightening, my question is this:

Since the adjustment, it has leaked a very small amount of fluid - about two tablespoons per month.

I took it back to the service tech who put something on the bolt where you adjust the bands where it was leaking.

It still leaks - he said that Mopar does not make a bolt  that has a washer on it and said - "they all leak."

Well, my car did not leak before which I told him.

Any help would be appreciated.

They all leak is not an acceptable answer after you paid your money for hes services.  My tranny has never leaked.  Find another tranny shop for a 2nd opinion and then go back to him with your newfound info.
2nd place is for the 1st place loser!

Could be left over piece's of phords?  ;D OR the car could have a mind of it's own and be thinking about eating some chivis, and it's drooling.
