Hydra Boost for Brakes
« on: March 06, 2006 - 10:05:53 PM »
Has anyone used a Hydra Boost for their brakes in place of the vacuum booster.? Apparently they give good boost when at low engine RPM if you have a wilder cam. A friend of mine has a BB Corvette and he claims a huge improvement. His unit came off a 1 ton Chevy Van. You have to ditch the existing booster and these units rn off the power steering pump.

Is this the same system used on the '04 Mach 1's and Cobras? I think so, if so, then my brakes work great and saves a ton of space. Curious on whether or not they could be put on a Mopar.

I see no reason why they could not be adapted

I had a friend put 13' baer rotors w/ hydraboost kit and he says the car stops on a dime...so I bought kit w/ new master cylinder that they suggest and put in their custom bore b/c they don't like the bore of baers kit. Will reply when mine are in.

I got my system for www.lateral-g.net/products/hydratechbraking/.  They are great two work with and the system works out of this world.  All you need is power steering.
