Here's a pic of my grandaughter Madison, 17 mths. old, That I taught to STAND UP next to you and defend her still today, there ain't no doubt I love this land, God Bless the U.S.A.!!!!

Yes I'm confused by 70mopars comment!!! I will defend my country AND my grandaughter to my last dieing breath!!!! But I do NOT expect her to go to war for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some women do and my hats off to them.
If that's her decision in the future then so be it. But I'm not about to recruite her to do so. I WILL do it for her if I have to.

That's my point. If I tell my son that firefighters save kitty cats out of trees and they are brave - or - I tell him that his dad was in the military and served his country proudly - then it follows that there is a -more likely- chance that he will grow up to be a firefighter or sergeant than if I said nothing at all about either profession.
Certainly we will still need an armed forces in 16 years.
