Little Help Needed - '69 Road Runner Coupe Info
« on: March 26, 2006 - 12:10:13 PM »
Ok, went to look at this car today - VIN is RM21H9AXXXXXX, which decodes to a '69 Road Runner Coupe/Post with a 335 hp 383.  Fender tag matches up, and looks like it came with a 727 auto (D32).  Looks like she was about as basic as they came - bench seat, column shift auto, manual steering and brakes, no gauges, no A/C.

Has a J440 (1973) now, interior is some velour cr*p, and has some rust coming through (lower rear quarters, rockers, back glass, drip rails, trunk), but floors and frame are SOLID.  Runs and drives, but needs a tune.

It's a Lynch Road built car, so I guess the fender tags are a little different.  Trying to figure out what color she was from the factory - here's what I think the codes are -

Exterior paint:  T3, T3
Interior:  W2T
Upper body paint is T7

Don't know what the price on the car is yet, but it's not advertised for sale.  Just sitting in a garage; heard about it via word of mouth.

Thanks!

Scott

 I believe T3 was a bronzish color for '69.    Sometimes upper body paint means the top of the door panels.

T3 = Honey Bronze Poly (2030)
T7 = Saddle Bronze Poly (2032)
