Got my stuff from CV Platers today.....
« on: March 25, 2006 - 06:17:25 PM »
...and it looks pretty slick. The MP air cleaner lid was exactly the finish I was looking for. Not chrome but more like polished aluminum. However it must have taken several coats because the edges on the milling have lost some definition. The 72-74 park/turn signal bezels they did look very good. Can you tell which are vacuum plated and which are real chrome?

I have had Chuck do a number of pieces and have always been pleased with the results.

yes, the bezels are very nice. It was only on my insistence that he took on the air cleaner. I think it will work out fine actually. After I sent my stuff to him I read several accounts of 2-3 month lead times. Is that normal for them? I would use them again but its a long time to wait

He has been getting pretty busy plus he is installing some more equipment. There aren't too many of these guys around that do this sort of thing.
He is about 30 minutes from me and the last time it still took about 3 - 4 weeks. I try to plan ahead when the wait won't be a concern.
