Are you just looking for the core block or are you looking for a complete engine?

It's just a name really. Magnum was used for Dodge's. Commando was used for Plymouth's.

Magnums have different heads, and as stated, a 4bbl. Other than that I think they are the same(?).

In 1970 in the peak of performance....
A standard 383 4bbl engine pushed out 330hp and the HP version (4bbl) pumped an extra 5hp.
They had the same bore and stroke and compression (9.5:1) so I'm not sure how they gained the extra 5hp.

Raised deck? New crank?  :dunno: :clueless:

When I look in the "challenger-cuda sorce book" it says: 383" 330hp "standard" about the camshaft and on the other hand it says: 383" 335hp "special" about that camshaft.
Maybe there are other things that differ also.
Ohh, and the peak of power is 200 rpm higher for the 335 hp engine than the 330 hp
