Organisol paint-what is it?

I would like to repaint a hood the correct (I assume) organisol black. Everyone talks about organisol, but I need some specifics- who makes it, paint numbers, etc. Can anyone help?

Organisol black is a textured matte black paint. Totally Auto Inc. makes in in the spray can form, an I know I've seen it available if you want to use your own spray gun. I can't remember just where right now.  :banghead:

It was originally sprayed in laquer. I've heard one of the key components in the formula is no longer available. When you find some of the laquer formula it's usually very expensive. Roger Gibson used to sell it by the Quart.
Cant kill the mean and ugly. Only the good die young...I plan to be here a while!!

this is wierd because yesterday when i was at friends garage this paint came up in a conversation.he is restoring an AAR cuda for a guy and i think thats what they used on those cars.I will pass on any info i can get about the paint it might be a couple of days but i will find out for you.-the moparclown
