New From NJ will be '73 440 Cuda
« on: August 06, 2006 - 05:45:21 PM »
Hello, I'm a first time restorer working on a 1973 Barracuda, was 318 auto. Came with no engine or trans. Found 440 & trans from '72 cop car. Body is stripped down to rolling chassis. Assessing bodywork and developing plan of attack as we speak. Since I'm obviously not going original , I'm looking at cloning to Cuda with 440 , no bumperettes and maybe sucking the front bumper back 2 inches like a '72 & earlier. I like the clean look. Basically I want to make it what I like for looks & performance. Fast & beautiful, Dig those Round Tailights :cooldancing: :burnout:

Thanks for the welcome. Can't make up my mind on the color, A5 Silver Frost Irid. was what it was originally and that is growing on me. Black is probably my favorite but with all the body work I'm going to try and do myself I don't think thats feasible. Maybe red or a dark blue, my son-in-law is pushing for limelight. Which one of these do you guys like?

Welcome, I stuck to the original color with mine. I wasn't sure about it but I like it now.
