Calculating the diff ratio

Hi all
This may be a dumb question but...is it possible to calculate the gear ratio in the diff by rotating the wheel a full turn and counting the number of revolutions the drive shaft turns through??? Or any other way you could suggest - my speedo reads quite fast and I need the ratio to order the correct drive wheel for the end of the speedo cable. Any help would be gratefully received.

Thank link is dead, so to answer the question, YES, one turn if there is a posi in it.  If not a posi, 2 full turns with the other tire still on the ground. Counting the driveshaft revs.
