74 challenger front grill conversion???
« on: April 20, 2006 - 01:02:07 PM »
I have a 74 challenger and would like to put a 70 front grill on the car. Is this possible without changing the front fenders?? If so does anyone know what parts are needed other than the grill itself?? Thanks

This is tought to pull off without the 70 front fenders. The 74 has a header panel instead that you would have to hack up. You would also need the 70 headlight bezels which don't come cheap.

You could buy 2 fiberglass fenders that come with the buckets in place. Won't be original looking but neither will a 70 grill in a 74.  Why not buy the 70-71 fiberglass fenders then just change the side markers all the way around. Or you can sell me that grill cheap and I'll give you a "74 grill.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I have two 74 front clips and grill. Haven't purchased the 70 yet. But I'll sell you one of the 74's, unless I get out the butter knife and do some carving .
