Hello Everyone
« on: April 23, 2006 - 11:50:30 PM »
Whats going on everyone, my name is Robert I live in west tx a little south of lubbock origianally froim the Victoria area. I am the proud owner of a 71 challenger its a little rough rite now but I am working on getting some new metal for it. My dad and granpa Bought it for me when I was 15. I drove it through high school and parked it when I moved (bad idea) well a couple years gone by and south tx humidity took its toll on a parked cars roof worse being a vynil car. But other than that its very solid. It has a decent 440 in it use to run mid 12's on street tires auto w/ slap stick and complete interior; dash pad has just about had it though.

Rite now my plams are to find a 71 grille (I have a 70 rite now) replace rear 1/4's and find a roof skin, p.o.r. coat the hell out of it then paint it Go Mango. I'v saved up awhile and hoping to have it together agian before next winter. sorry no pics rite now I'll try ang get some up tomarrow guys.

nice to meet ya
Robert

Welcome Robert.

That car doesn't sound too bad. I like your screen name. You need plenty of that in this hobby.  :grinyes:

Welcome to the board Robert.  Sounds like a great project and would love to see pics when you get a chance.  Half the fun of this board (besides the great people) is watching the project cars progress over time.

Glad to have you on board. :grinyes:

Welcome to the site, Robert!  It sounds like you have a good car to work with.  That sucks about your roof, but I'm sure you could find a donor skin for it and the quarters are easy enough to find.
