torsion bar selection??????????

heys guys i have a 72 chally original 318 now 440. which size torison bars should i go with for best performance overall. I was told i need to beef up the bars from the originals . What do you think

They used to put 6 cyl torsion bars in the drag cars and they held up.  I've put 440s in 318 cars and didn't change the bars.  Never broke a bar.....    Change it if you want to spend money.

depends what you want , for general street use with the big block I would use the .96 or 1" bars far a tight feel & good cornering

I second using the .96 bars, that is if you want the car to be firm on the street.  If just straight line racing, hold out and see if you like it.
