Edelbrock TM5
« on: December 21, 2004 - 03:36:48 AM »
Does anyone here have any experience with running a Edelbrock TM 5 intake manifold? I have a quick chance of picking up a NOS unit for $100. I ran a TORKER for a while but didn't like having to twist my motor so hard to make HP with it(power band was like 3500 - 8000). Right now I'm running a highly modified Edelbrock LD340 (also known as LD4).TM5 power band is like 2500-6500 which is perfect if true.

Outlaw, the TM-5 is the brother to the TM-7, which was originally called the Tarantula series. It's still a good manifold but is more suited to the track as it's powerband is up there. You're better off with the Performer RPM series for dual useage. KK

according to edelbrock the power band is 2500 to 6500 which is more suited for hot street usage. But you are correct it is a Tarantula manifoldand more street worthy than a torker. the performer rpm is a dual plane manifold which is what I am trying to avoid using
