Trunk lid Repair

When I bought the car it had a spoiler ( TA style ), I am just now getting around to removing it.  I have 4 holes that need to be filled, and then I need the trunk lid resprayed. Is this a relatively easy task for an experienced body man? Any sugestions would be great, as I don't want to start asking for estimates without any knowledge of how this should be fixed. This is a darn shame, because the rest of the paint on the car is in good condition, as you can see from the reflection. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b232/tcsteelhead/P3030003.jpg[/img]]

It will be hard to match the car's paitn as it has faded. I wouild think upwards of $350 should do the trick

No matter how good they are, they'll never get it perfect. You will always notice a difference (color, shade, shine, etc), depending on the lighting and the angle that you look at it, and it will bug the crap out of you. I've had several insurance repairs on regular vehicles, done by very experienced body shops, and I could always tell what was repainted.

T/A spoilers look hot. Put it back on and save yourself some money.

The one thing that I would insist on is they weld up the holes instead of  bondoing them. The same on the inside. Paint supplies and shop labor are very pricey these days. I'm going to guess $500.00

I agree that welding the holes shut would be ideal. Maybe if they could blend/paint the top of the rear quarters to where the opening for the rear side window is, and the rear window filler panel it could be less noticable. Since the tops of the quarters and filler are close to the same plane as the trunk lid, a smaller blend area would be more noticeable. The light isn't going to hit the top of the quarter where the b pillar meets and the window opening is at the same angle as the trunk lid area so it would be harder to tell what or where what reshot. Could be between 500 and 1500 depending on where you live.

Ok thanks, Looking for suggestions for a Great paint guy in Michigan. I am willing to spend money, not looking to go cheap.

   Leave the spoiler on until you need to paint entire car.

...or have them filled and add the bumble bee black stripe over the rear.

I was just looking at pictures and a nice white or black stripe would solve the problem the car is a stripe delete r/t and I think it should stay that way. Maybe a better spoiler is in order, who makes the most authentic.
