exhaust tip addition
« on: May 17, 2006 - 07:11:15 AM »
Hello...
I was wondering,,,,,, man, I'm learning alot here as a b-body guy......... I have a friend who recently picked up a '70 Chally ragtop. He's wishing to install dual -exhaust on the car. Are there special brackets other than the exhaust tip hangers required? He has the cutout rear valance and he's getting tips..... I know on second generation Chargers, there's a bracket attached to the rear framerail to accommodate the hanger, is it the same for Challengers?........
If so, anyone have pictures of the area?

Thanks,
Troy

Yes, there are brackets that are attached through the trunk.  Dale's Cuda Shop (http://www.musclecarparts.cc/)  has the exhaust tip hangers even though they don't show them on the site - email Josh for pricing.  Barry has a site with engineering diagrams that probably shows all this but I can't find the link right now.
