Disc & Front Bars

  Coming from Aussie I am not up with all the finer interchangability of platform parts. Challenger front torsion bars have different thickness's depending on the engine and application. What is the length of all Challenger bars? What are the different thickness of these bars? Can say a 440 bar be fitted to a 340 engined car or will it be too hard a ride and not able to get a lower enough ride height? What other plateforms bars can be fitted? I am aware that the front of a Challenger is basically the same as a B body, do any of these bars fit or are they not suitable? Does this mean that lower and upper control arms are interchangable between "E" & "B" bodies? Do front sway bars interchange?
  Front brakes, do any other plateforms fit? Mine has 14" wheels and I know that limits me. I believe that there is a larger disc that can be fitted with 15'' wheels but the calipers hit other componets, is there something that I should look out for?
  I know that there are a few questions here but I know that mistakes can be made and I would try to learn from other peoples experiences. :crazy: :cooldancing:

the torsion bars are available in a # of thicknesses from mild to stupid stiff
 the most common are the .88 small block , the .92 R/T bars & the .96 upgrade bars , also the 1.00 bars , you can definatly upgrade without being overly stiff , I know 1 guy that road races & his car will bottom out at over 140 mph with .100 bars
 but for most street use .92 for small block or .96 for big block definatly helps the handling
 the bars will swap between 64-72 B bodys & any E bodys but new ones are cheap enough so I would just get new ones
 there are numerous topics on brake swaps already , basically 71/72 B bodys , 73-75 A bodys & the controversial F body spindles & brakes will all swap

Thanks for your input. Basically what I am trying to work out is what can I source out here in Aussie, that is, will any local parts fit. When I ship the Challenger back to Australia I will be putting inside the car parts that are too big, long or heavy to fit in a suit case. If I can source eg. front torsion bars at the right price in Australia then I will have money that can be spent on something else. There is only so much money in the piggy bank.
  I also collect License Plates and signs so will be taking advantage of a little bit of extra room. Jewelly for the car will be able to go into suit cases where I can keep an eye on them.
  Many years ago I had an engine changed on a vehicle before it arrived in Australia. A '69 Dodge Coronet 440 with a big block changed out and a 318 fitted, dropped the value some what. This time everything to be minutelty documented and or photographed.
